What it looks like

- —There's no policy, or a policy nobody follows because it was never actually communicated
Why it happens
AI tools are free or cheap and a browser tab away, so individual adoption outpaces any official rollout — by the time anyone official notices, it's already how the team works.
How to avoid it
Give people an approved, sanctioned way to get the same benefit before banning the unsanctioned one — a policy with no good alternative just pushes the behavior underground instead of stopping it.
