Data Silo
Data trapped in one system that other systems and teams can't easily access, forcing manual re-entry or exports to bridge the gap.
A data silo forms when a system holds information nothing else can query directly — often not by design, just because no integration was ever built. The visible symptom is usually a person manually copying data between systems; the underlying cause is the silo itself, which the manual copying is just working around.
