MCP (Model Context Protocol)

An open standard for connecting AI models to external tools and data sources.

MCP defines a common way for AI applications to discover and call external tools (databases, APIs, file systems) without each integration being built from scratch in a bespoke way. It's increasingly used to let AI agents interact with real systems in a standardized, interoperable manner.
