Scope Creep
A project's requirements quietly expanding beyond what was originally agreed, without a corresponding change in budget or timeline.
Scope creep happens when small, individually-reasonable additions accumulate during a build without anyone formally re-scoping the project — the classic cause of a fixed-price project quietly becoming unprofitable, or a timeline quietly slipping with no single moment anyone can point to as the cause.
