Synthetic Data
Artificially generated data used to train or test a system when real data is scarce, sensitive, or doesn't cover enough edge cases.
Synthetic data is generated (often by another model) to resemble real data's statistical patterns without being real records — useful for testing edge cases real data doesn't have enough examples of, or for early development before real production data exists. It's a supplement to real data, not a substitute for validating against it eventually.
