Temperature (LLM parameter)

A setting that controls how random or deterministic a model's output is.

Temperature is a parameter passed to a model at request time — low values (near 0) make output more focused and repeatable, useful for tasks like data extraction; higher values introduce more variety, useful for creative drafting. It's one of the first levers tuned when an AI feature's output feels too rigid or too inconsistent.
