Human-in-the-Loop
A system design where a person reviews or approves an AI's output before it takes effect.
Human-in-the-loop design inserts a person at a specific decision point — approving a draft before it sends, reviewing a low-confidence classification — rather than letting the AI act fully autonomously. It's the deliberate middle ground between full manual work and full automation, used wherever the cost of an unsupervised mistake is too high.
